The truth about TVG analysts on TV.
I could do their job just as well, and I’d probably play my own tickets for real.

They occasionally play their own tickets, but they’re not given money to bet. Any betting they do comes out of their own pocket, so of course they’re not always playing their own tickets. The network isn’t paying for their betting, it’s just paying them to handicap the races.

They will never tell you to skip a sequence from what I’ve read.

I would never trust them.

horseracingchick replied to your post: I always break even

On the rare event of my picks coming through, I dont even know how to take money out of my TVG account. I figure 98% of TVG account holders dont know either.. the game always wins.

Go under My Account and choose Withdraw Funds.

You will have the option to either get a physical check mailed to you or have the money deposited into your checking account if you have direct deposit set up with them. I recommend just setting up the direct deposit thing if you don’t have it set up that way already.

Some thoughts on TVG Community closing…

I know I was temporarily suspended there in the past for saying mean things about Zenyatta. I will be sad to see the forums go away though.

When there is a wide range of people posting in one forum, which happened at TVG, there is always some useful topics and because the forum was so large with many people, the responses were always frequent.

Yeah you can talk with TVG on Facebook and Twitter, but it’s not the same. TVG gets to control every topic on those two sites and that is not as good as the freedom to choose your own topic or see the topics that other fans want to talk about.

Fans argue a lot on TVG, but that is how new ideas are generated, through argumentation. So it was not necessarily a bad thing.

Goodbye TVG Community.

Well the friends you speak of are friends of my dad’s. Sometimes he places the bets for me. Normally he doesn’t listen, as you know. I don’t think he, nor I, know what that is.

ADW is just a fancy name for services like Twin Spires. Xpressbet and TVG also fall under the category.

2010 was not a bad year for me handicapping. Most of that amount in the “Won” section though came in the Canadian International (I) at Woodbine where I just boxed the Europeans…

Megan’s Blog and Mine

I am happy that Megan’s blog is so popular (although she tells me that she wishes more people would ask questions). But my horse racing blog has 90% original content! I suppose I could throw up a Zenyatta picture and see what happens…Oh I know what Megan is thinking. But I admit I would like just as much followers as she has.

See this is why my talents belong on Daily Racing Form or TVG! They will want someone who likes writing about topics such as beyer speed figures, how pace affects final time and beyer speed figures, form patterns, overlays, track bias, dirt vs. synthetic, and lots of other technical horse racing topics. I can write about this on a daily basis easily (err I’d have to quit school…but hey if someone paid me a full wage for doing it…I would do it).

I may have lost to Megan in our match, but I would bet that I am a better handicapper than half the analysts on TVG. With that said, I believe Megan is also better than a lot of professional handicappers.
